How to Resync an NPN

AgentSync Manage receives updates from NIPR every morning but there may be a rare occasion where you would like your producer's updates to reflect in your org earlier. This article walks through how to resync your NPN.

When would I need to re-sync my NPN?

AgentSync Manage connects with NIPR to pull in updates from the PDB once every day, but sometimes our customers need a more real time pull of data for producers on a one off basis. Our Refresh button now gives you the ability to manually pull in updates for producers as needed.

AgentSync Warning: It is tempting to pull the NPN out and put it back in.  This will cause you to lose important data and you may not be able to pull certain reports for this NPN if you do so.  We do NOT recommend removing he NPN and entering it back in. Please follow the below steps below as a best practice.

Step 1: Navigate to the Contact (or User) or Account record for your producer by typing their name into the Global Search Bar at the top of your screen in Manage

Step 2: Click the name of your producer with the label Contact (or User) or Account under the name

AgentSync Tip: Don't see your producer's Contact, User or Account record in the preview? Try clicking "Show more results for" at the bottom of the preview.

Step 3: Find the section on the record labeled AgentSync Data Sync

Step 4: Click the Refresh button

Step 5: Once the status shows Success, your NPN is resynced! All of your data is now completely up to date with the PDB!

Still not seeing what you expect? Try running an Audit Log!

The new Refresh button should pull in the data from NIPR with a single click, but if it doesn't seem to work or you want to be 100% sure the most up to date information is being pulled into manage, you can also run an Audit Log. This process has a few more steps involved, but it is still fairly simple!

Step 3: Find the NPN on the record. Highlight and Copy the NPN to your clipboard.

Step 4: Scroll down on the record until you see the related listed labeled AgentSync Audit Logs.

Step 5: Click the arrow at the top of the box and then click New.

Step 6: Enter in the following information:

  • Type: EntityInfo Report
  • NPN: Producer's NPN

Step 7: Click Save.

Step 8: Click the Log link in the green box that appears on your screen. It should look like LOG-XXXXX.

AgentSync Tip: Did the green box disappear before you were able to click on the the LOG-XXXXX link? Not to worry! You can access the record by clicking View All at the bottom of the AgentSync Audit Logs related list, and the clicking the LOG-XXXXX link that was just created. It should have a status of Not Started

Step 9: In the Details section, find the field labeled Reprocess. Click the small gray pencil icon and click the Reprocess box.

Step 10: Click Save

Step 11: Manage is now resyncing the NPN with NIPR. To navigate back to the contact record, either use the Global Search Bar or click on the blue producer's name in the Related Producer field.
