Before you start
Before you appoint a producer or entity, please make sure you onboard them to the AgentSync Manage system.
How to apply for appointments in AgentSync Manage using Quick Appoint
Click here to log in and see step-by-step visual instructions.
Step 1: Find the producer you would like to appoint
Step 2: Select the appoint button on the top right side of the page.
Don't see it? Click the more actions dropdown on the end of the actions bar.
Step 3: This view shows all eligible appointments for this producer. Select the states you would like to appoint.
Couple notes here:
- Any state with an asterisk(*) next to it is a registry state (also known as a record only state). This means that these states do not require appointments to be submitted to NIPR but require record of the appointment. AgentSync allows you to hold onto these appointments for record keeping purposes.
- Any state that has a plus (+) is an internal appointment. You will likely see this when appointing an entity. This means that the state does not require entity appointments, but AgentSync allows you to hold onto these appointments for record keeping/uplining purposes.
- Don't see the state you're hoping to appoint in? Click here to view a list of reasons why your appointment is not listed.
Step 4: Click create the NIPR Appointment Transactions button
AgentSync ran a real-time eligibility check with NIPR to confirm that this producer is eligible for these appointments. If the appointment says ready to submit, this means that you can submit the transaction! See here to learn more what these messages may mean.
Step 5: Select which appointments you would like to submit appointments for. You can select all ready to submit transactions by selecting the checkbox next to "transaction name"
Step 6: Click submit transactions
Step 7: AgentSync may want you to confirm the cost of submitting transactions. If the cost looks good, click submit.
You did it!

How to Appoint Using the Producer Compliance Scorecard
Step 1: Type in your producer's name into the Global Search Bar at the top of your screen
Step 2: Click the name of your producer with the word Contact (or Account for firms) underneath it.
AgentSync Tip: Don't see your producer's Contact or Account record in the preview? Try clicking "Show more results for" at the bottom of the preview.
Step 3: On the Contact or Account record, scroll down to confirm the field AgentSync Producer Assignment is populated with something.
If the AgentSync Producer Assignment field is blank, you will not have access to a Scorecard. Please click here to request access to this exclusive AgentSync Customer Content and learn about creating and editing Producer Assignments.
Step 4: Your producer's synced NPN and Producer Assignment will automatically generate a Producer Compliance Scorecard - showing the percentage of appointments your producer has (found in NPN sync) and compares that to the states, LOAs and companies listed on the Producer Assignment.
Step 5: Find your Scorecard by scrolling down to the Producer Compliance Scorecard related list on the Contact record.
Step 6: Click the hyperlinked SCORE-XXXX number
Step 7: You are now brought to the Producer Scorecard!

Step 11: An NIPR Transaction Batch is generated. You will see a green pop-up confirming. Click the hyperlinked batch GB-XXXXXXXX in the green-pop up to navigate to the next step

You can go back to the Scorecard to monitor transactions.

How to View Upline Eligibility while Submitting Appointments in AgentSync Manage
AgentSync Manage's latest addition is the upline eligibility feature, enabling Admins to check if their producers' upline is appointed for the same state, lines of authority, and company co-code. This feature provides valuable information for informed decisions on producer appointments. In order to use this feature, you must first enable agentIDs in AgentSync Manage.
Note: this upline eligibility view will only be available to customers who have this feature enabled. If you do not see upline eligibility, please reach out to support@agentsync.io or your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to enable the functionality.
Step 1: Confirm that your producer has an active agent ID that is looking up to an active upline
AgentSync Note: AgentIds are how customers can set up and track upline hierarchies in AgentSync Manage. AgentIds can be set up manually, through an integration with your policy admin/commission payment system, or automatically through our auto-create AgentID feature.
Step 2: Select “appoint” on the producer’s contact, account, or user record
Step 3: Select the “upline eligibility view: on the quick appoint pop up
AgentSync Note: in order to view upline eligibility through the view detailed below, the agentID needs to be active and the parent ID needs to be active in your AgentSync Manage org. You can find the parent ID on the agent id under the “parent agent ID” field.
When you access the upline eligibility view, the list will display all of the producer's eligible appointments where the upline also has an appointment in the same state, line of authority, and co-code. You will notice the upline's name listed under "upline eligibility" as a hyperlink. By clicking on the hyperlink, you will be directed to the upline's appointments to verify that they hold an appointment in the same state, line of authority, and company.
To see all the appointments that your producer qualifies for, simply activate the "show all" filter. This will display the appointments where your producer is eligible, even if the upline does not have a similar active appointment.
Step 4: Complete the appointment process using quick appointment or through the producer scorecard
AgentSync Note: If your producer has multiple uplines with an active appointment for your appointment request, you can easily find out who they are. Just hover over the hyperlinked upline eligibility field and it will show you the other AgentID that also holds an active appointment
How to Terminate a Carrier Appointment
Step 1: Type the name of the Individual Producer (Contact) or Firm (Account) that you seek to terminate an appointment for in the Global Search Bar at the top of your Manage screen
AgentSync Note: The producer must have "NIPR tracking" set as active before terminating the producer.
Step 2: Click the name in the preview that has the label of Contact (Individual Producer) or Account (Firm) under the name.
AgentSync Tip: Don't see your producer's Contact or Account record in the preview? Try clicking "Show more results for" at the bottom of the preview.
Step 3: Select the Terminate button on the top right corner of the Contact or Account record. If you don't see it, click the down arrow for additional options.
Step 4: A pop-up will appear and will display all appointments that are eligible for termination.
Step 5: Use the check boxes to select all appointments you wish to terminate to terminate for the producer. Be sure to confirm the state, company, class and LOA.
Step 6: Select a Termination Reason from the drop down for each state.
AgentSync will only show you termination reasons that are accepted by each individual state, so you don't need to worry about submitting an ineligible termination reason!
Step 7: If the state allows backdating Termination Date, you will have the option to select an Effective Date. Keep in mind that each state determines how far you are allowed to backdate.
AgentSync Tip: Our Compliance Library is a repository of state rules and nuances all in one place! Click here to verify effective date rules for each state if you are unsure.
Step 8: After selecting the terminations, reasons and dates (when applicable) for your producer, click Submit
Step 9: After submitting your terminations, you will be automatically redirected to the NIPR Transaction page.
AgentSync runs a real-time eligibility check with NIPR to confirm that this producer is eligible for terminations. If the termination says Ready to Submit, this means that you can submit the transaction! If you see any other message, click here to learn more what they may mean.
Step 10: Select which transactions you would like to submit terminations for in the Actionable Transactions section. You can select all Ready to Submit transactions by selecting the checkbox next to the Transaction Name, or you can select each line individually.
Step 11: Click Submit Transactions
Step 12: AgentSync may want you to confirm the cost of submitting transactions. If the cost looks good, click Submit
